Calling all parents! Are you searching for a chance to create a significant impact on your child's education and school community? At HBES, there are numerous ways to get involved and support our students, teachers, and staff. Your involvement can make a real difference, so let's come together to help our school community thrive!

Ongoing Opportunities:
Teacher Workroom Volunteer: Help prep teacher materials and make copies in the workroom. Great opportunity for individuals who want to volunteer consistently throughout the school year and have availability during the school day. Set your own schedule- 1 hour time slots.
Cafeteria Volunteer: Assist students with opening lunches, hand out napkins/utensils, give permission for the bathroom, etc. Extra sets of hands and eyes are super helpful to support our TA’s and ensure our students have a successful lunch period.
Front Office Volunteer: Assist Ms. Dianne in the front office by greeting and assisting guests, staff, and students. Availability WED 9AM-11AM or 11AM-1PM.
Library Volunteer: Support our librarians by shelving books and assisting with creative projects as needed. Availability during school hours. Set your own schedule.
Room Parent Volunteer (2 per class): Act as liaison between your child’s teacher and parents. Responsible for communicating PTO initiatives and events, planning and facilitating class parties/snacks, and organizing teacher gifts.
General Opportunities:
If you are unable to commit to an ongoing volunteer need, there are still many opportunities to get involved throughout the school year! There will be individual sign-ups for specific needs such as book fair, school photos, boosterthon, teacher appreciation initiatives, and special events like Family Fun Night, Fine Arts Nights, and Spring Fling. These needs occur during and after school hours depending on your interest and availability. Keep an eye out for communication regarding specific needs throughout the school year or check back on our PTO volunteer page to review current opportunities and sign-up links.
