 WHAT IS INVEST?

Invest in Your Child (INVEST) is Hunters Bend's BIGGEST fundraising campaign that helps enrich the educational experience of your child.  The PTO can help supplement support to many areas of the school because of your generous donations. 

 

The PTO works closely with Principal Blackburn to use INVEST funds to bridge the gap between the needs of our school and what the district provides.  Your donations help our school with purchases that would otherwise not be possible under the approved school budget set by Williamson County Schools.

 

 WHY IS INVEST HAPPENING THIS YEAR?

We understand that many things may be changing this year in our Hound Dog Community with jobs and career demands.  Yet, our school still needs the support from our HBES families!  Your contributions and the PTO fundraising helps to cover the budget gaps in what our school would like to provide students but cannot.  Any amount, whether $150 or $15 per child, is greatly appreciated!

   

 WHAT ARE THE DATES OF THE CAMPAIGN?

September 8th, 2020, through September 25, 2020.

 

 WHAT IS THE GOAL FOR THIS YEAR?

Our goal this year is $30,000 and 100% our Hound Dog families participating.  Each class that has at least 75% participation earns a popsicle party!  Please be sure to include your child's teacher name when returning the form.  If you donate online, please make sure your child is tied to a teacher.

 

 WHAT HAPPENS IF WE RAISE $30,000?

Principal Blackburn will do something AWESOME if we raise $30,000.  Stay tuned to the Paw Print and social media - we will be releasing hints of what that AWESOME surprise is as we get closer to our goal!

 

 WHY ARE THE SUGGESTED AMOUNTS IN $150 INCREMENTS? 

$150 is the suggested amount per child.  So if you have two children, our suggestion is to give $300, and so forth.

 

 WHAT IF I LIKE TO DONATE A DIFFERENT AMOUNT? 

You are welcome to donate any amount that works for your family.  Any amount is very appreciated and counts towards our goal of 100% participation and your child's classroom participation.  Remember, each class that reaches 75% participation earns a popsicle party! The class that has the highest participation will earn a $50 award for his or her teacher to be used towards the classroom and a certificate!

 

 WHAT PERCENT OF DONATIONS GO TO THE SCHOOL?

100% of donations go to Hunters Bend.  This is HUGE - if we were to go the traditional route of candy, popcorn, gift wrap, magazines, etc., Hunters Bend would only receive a portion of the funds.

 

INVEST serves as our biggest fundraiser.  While we do have passive fundraisers (Amazon Smile, Box Tops, and Publix Partners), we don't participate in any other active fundraisers outside of the Boosterthon Fun Run in the spring.  This means LESS work on parents and INCREASED safety for our children since they don't have to do door-to-door sales. Win-Win!

 

 IS MY DONATION TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?

Yes, your donation is tax-deductible and you will receive a receipt for your records.

 

 CAN MY DONATION BE MATCHED BY MY EMPLOYER?

Hunters Bend Elementary PTO is a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This means there is a good chance your employer will match your donation. For more information, please visit our Company Match page.

 

 WE ARE AN ONLINE (OLP) FAMILY, SHOULD WE INVEST?

Yes!  You are still a Hunters Bend family and your contribution helps our school!  Stay tuned how Online families will be included in the fun activities!

  

 WHAT HAS BEEN PURCHASED WITH PAST DONATIONS?

In the past we have purchased the following:

- Gym Sound System 

- Interactive Smart Boards for Classrooms

- School Recreational Playground Equipment

- Author Visits in the Library

- Teacher Requests for Classroom Enhancement

- Resurfaced the Playground

- Murals in the Hallways

- Supplies for School Nurse

- Landscaping to keep our Grounds / Playground Beautiful and Safe

- and MORE!
