 WHAT IS INVEST?

Invest in Your Child (“INVEST”) is one of Hunters Bend’s two biggest fundraising campaigns. 100% of your generous donations go directly to enriching the educational experience of your children. The PTO works closely with the administration to bridge the gap between the funds provided by the district and the funds required to fulfill Hunters Bend’s actual needs.

    

 WHAT ARE THE DATES OF THE CAMPAIGN?

September 1st - 14th, 2023 -- UPDATE! The Campaign has been extended!

 

 WHAT IS THE GOAL FOR THIS YEAR?

Our goal this year is $35,000 and 100% of our Hound Dog families participating.  Each class that has at least 75% participation earns a popsicle party!  Please be sure to include your child's teacher name when returning the form.  If you donate online, please make sure your child is tied to a teacher. (*If donating as a Guest, be sure to send an to email INVEST@hbespto.org with student information.)

 

 WHAT HAPPENS IF WE RAISE $35,000?

If we succeed in raising our goal of $35,000, Principal Kraemer and Assistant Principal Dr. Padelski will dress up as Mario and Princess Peach and compete in a race on wheels on Friday, September 29th -- let's get ready for a Principal Battle and hit our goal!

 

 WHY ARE THE SUGGESTED AMOUNTS IN $150 INCREMENTS? 

$150 is the suggested amount per child.  So if you have two children, our suggestion is to give $300, and so forth.

 

 WHAT IF I’D LIKE TO DONATE A DIFFERENT AMOUNT? 

Any amount INVESTed is greatly appreciated!  You'll find a separate option for custom amounts both on paper or online.

 

 WHAT PERCENTAGE OF DONATIONS GO TO THE SCHOOL?

100% of donations go to Hunters Bend.  This is HUGE - if we were to go the traditional route of candy, popcorn, gift wrap, magazines, etc., Hunters Bend would only receive a portion of the funds.

 

INVEST serves as our biggest fundraiser.  While we do have passive fundraisers (Publix Partners, for example), we don't participate in any other active fundraisers outside of the Boosterthon Fun Run in the spring (our 2nd biggest campaign).  This means LESS work on parents and INCREASED safety for our children since they don't have to do door-to-door sales. Win-Win!

 

 IS MY DONATION TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?

Yes, your donation is tax-deductible and you will receive a receipt for your records.

 

 CAN MY DONATION BE MATCHED BY MY EMPLOYER?

Hunters Bend Elementary PTO is a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This means there is a good chance your employer will match your donation. For more information, please visit our Company Match page.

   

 WHAT HAS BEEN PURCHASED WITH PAST DONATIONS?

Smartboards, Chromebooks, math training, walkie talkies, landscaping, author visits, teacher conferences, playground equipment, hallway and cafeteria murals, filtered hydration systems, the broadcast system, gym and event sound systems, picnic tables, nursing supplies, the 5thGrade Step Up ceremony, librarian training, Computers on Wheels, workroom supplies, specific teacher requests and so much more… it’s all 100% paid for by your generous donations!
